SORRY FOR THE HIATUS...
I know that it's been quite a while since my last blog post, but things have been quite hectic since April. We went through Spring Football in April and May and then decided to change our offense from Flexbone to a Pro style attack. Our Offensive Coordinator, a good friend of mine, left the program, which was very tough. The change in Offensive philosophy required quite a bit of time and effort on my part to get myself and our players ready over the Summer for the upcoming season. The new Offensive Coordinator is a great guy and very knowledgeable. I learned a lot from him during the Summer as we worked to install a new offensive scheme.
As we moved closer to the start of the season, it was becoming clear to me that something was wrong. I made the decision in the past couple weeks to step away from the team I was coaching. I won't be coaching football this Fall. Football was becoming a job and frankly it wasn't fun anymore. A lot of factors went into my decision, but I'm very comfortable and at peace with it.
So I should now have the time to be able to finish some blogs that I've had sitting around for awhile (Mid Triple vs 8 man fronts for example). I'll also have time to hopefully help some people out with game planning questions or error correction. If you need help, please let me know. I've got time now...lol
Good luck to everyone out there fighting the good fight.
